Aletha fell in love with weddings over twelve years ago while working as a banquet server at a local country club. She moved to Chicago to earn her B.A. in Fashion Marketing. Upon graduation, she promptly accepted a position with the largest Christian communications company in the world in her hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

After spending four years in corporate America, Aletha infused her love for service, marketing & weddings by creating Pearls Events, a West Michigan wedding & event planning boutique. Her desire to create a wedding celebration that reflects the client and flows seamlessly is her number one goal.

Aletha enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, and their son, Eames, while they work in their yard, travel the country in their Volkswagen and entertain friends on their patio. They live in Grand Rapids with their Yorkie, Olive.

Joy'l from Paper Nest Designs approached Aletha of Pearls Events in late 2009 to partner in hosting their ideal wedding show in Grand Rapids in March 2010. The generosity and excitement of many local entrepreneurs has made this show come together and shape into something completely unique - something the Grand Rapids wedding market has never seen.

When is the next one?
With the 2010 & 2011 GRunveiled wedding shows being more successful than we thought possible, we are pleased to partner with St. Cecilia's for the third year in a row for the GRunveiled wedding show on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from noon until 4:00 p.m.

What IS the ideal wedding show?
A place where you can support local artisans who design and facilitate services and products for the contemporary wedding you are planning. It's a place where you will discover original designs, fresh concepts and the talented individuals behind it all.

Experience a wedding show where you won’t find booths and gimmicks, just creative spaces and talented people who are passionate about what they do.
